To comply with law and legal process.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
Service providers who help us run the business, under contracts limiting their use of your data, including: Shopify (online store), Passion.io (app hosting), Stripe/PassionPayments and other payment processors, Apple and Google (in-app purchases), email marketing and scheduling providers, video conferencing providers, analytics providers, AI model providers that power the AI Coach, cloud storage, and professional advisors (accountants, attorneys).
Advertising and analytics partners (if enabled), such as Google or Meta, through cookies and pixels. Under some state laws this may be considered "targeted advertising" or "sharing." You can opt out (Section 7).
Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale, financing, or reorganization of DDC, subject to this Policy.
With your consent or at your direction.
Community posts are visible to other community members. Do not post information you want kept private.
4. AI Coach
Prompts and conversation content you enter into the AI Coach are sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses and may be stored in your account history. We do not permit our AI providers to use your inputs to train their public models where that option is available to us. Do not enter confidential information you are not permitted to share, including NDA-protected deal information.
5. Coaching and Deal Information
Non-public business and deal information you share in private coaching or a Deal Review is kept confidential and used only to provide services to you, except where disclosure is required by law, needed to prevent harm, or you consent. It is not protected by attorney–client or any other legal privilege.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We and our providers use:
Essential cookies: needed for cart, checkout, login, and security.
Analytics cookies: to understand how the Services are used (e.g., Shopify analytics, Google Analytics).
Advertising cookies and pixels (if enabled): to measure and target ads (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads).
You can control cookies through your browser settings and our cookie banner (where shown).
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and sharing for that browser. Our site does not otherwise respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Everyone:
Email marketing: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or contact us. You will still receive transactional messages (receipts, subscription notices).
Push notifications: turn them off in your device settings.
Targeted advertising: enable GPC in your browser or email [EMAIL] with "Opt Out of Targeted Advertising."
Account deletion: email [EMAIL].
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including Oregon, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others): depending on your state and whether the law applies to DDC, you may have the right to:
confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
obtain a list of the specific third parties to whom we disclosed personal data (Oregon);
correct inaccurate data;
delete your data;
obtain a portable copy of your data;
opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling with significant effects; and
not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We extend these rights to all U.S. users regardless of whether a particular state law applies to us. To make a request, email [EMAIL] with the subject "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity (usually by confirming your account email) and respond within 45 days, which may be extended once by 45 days where permitted. You may use an authorized agent with written permission. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject line; we will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our appeal response, you may contact your state Attorney General (in Oregon: the Oregon Department of Justice, Consumer Protection).
California residents: In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 1 for the purposes in Section 2 and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 3. We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising cookies are enabled, this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, which you can opt out of as described above. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. California's "Shine the Light" law: you may request information about disclosures for direct marketing by emailing [EMAIL].
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above: generally, for the life of your account plus a reasonable period afterward; order and tax records for at least 7 years; and coaching notes for up to 3 years after your last session, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and rely on established providers (Shopify, Stripe, Passion.io) for payment and hosting security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children
The Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not sell or use for targeted advertising the data of anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
DDC is based in the United States and the Services are intended for U.S. users. If you access them from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your country's.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy and will post the new version with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice.
